Classic quilt patterns & techniques revisited
If you missed these the first time around, here are three
classics that you have to do at least once in your life:
* Ricky Timms’ harmonic convergence pattern will be
taught by Brooks Hinerman.
* Judy Thornton will teach the fabulous, fun stack & whack.
* Gwen Marston developed a method of piecing quilt
blocks called “liberated” – the liberated star, the liberated
log cabin, etc. Later she & Freddy Moran went on to
collaborate & expand on this concept in 2 books. We’re
planning on a day of liberation: starting with the simple
liberated log cabin, then on to the liberated star, & then
advancing on to a block called “liberated ladies”. These 3
simple blocks will then be made into a small wall hanging –
or you can go wild & sew even more & more & more .......
for an even larger project of your own. This class is for
those of you who don’t like constraints, and it’s also good
practice for those of you who feel the need to break out of
the block & expand your horizons. Your liberation leader
will be Mary Hogan.
