The Quilting Season
How to Help

Here are some volunteer opportunities
to help others in your community.

Pillowcases:
We collect pillowcases for Mott Children's Hospital in Ann
Arbor. Download our
free pillowcase pattern. We're also
registered with the
1 Million Pillowcase Challenge. More
free pillowcase patterns are available at

http://www.
allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases/faqs/

After you make your pillowcase...
* wash it without fabric softener
* iron it (to sanitize)
* put individually into a zipper baggie
* deliver to Quilting Season

Check our
Classes & Events list to see if we are having any
upcoming pillowcase making days at the store.

Preemie Quilts:
We collect preemie quilts for St. Joseph Natal Intensive Care
Unit in Ypsilanti. Download our
guidelines poster.

The guidelines are basically this:
* use 100% cotton fabric, batting and thread
* size: approximately 16" x 20"
* use an orphaned quilt block or
experiment with scraps
* Don't worry about it being perfect!
The babies won't care.
