The First Ladies
block-of-the-month started
last May, but you may still join.
This block-of-the-month meets
every 1st Saturday at 10:30 am
with a repeat on the following
Wednesday at 10:30 am. At every
meeting Mary gives a bit of
history about one of the first
ladies & serves a treat, often
something baked using a recipe
from the appropriate era.
Each monthly block kit is $10. At
the first meeting you'll also get
the border kit ($45). A sashing
kit will be available midway
through the year.

Simple creativity: even if you're
new to quilting, using creativity
doesn't have to be hard. At left is
a photo of one of our favorite quilt
patterns, Yellow Brick Road, that
one of our customers adapted to
incorporate fabric w/printed
sayings. She also created a star
block to substitute for one of the
Yellow Brick Road blocks.

w/the psalms, the beatitudes,
sayings about mothers &
mothers-in-law, & positive sayings
for teens.
