The Quilting Season

2011 Holiday Hop
In case you've never attended a
shop hop, here's how it all works:

Purchase your stash dash passport for $10, and the fun
begins. Receive your
special collector pin when you
purchase your passport.

Bring your passport to each of the eight stores on the
holiday hop circuit. Get your passport stamped at each store,
where you'll receive your
free seasonal/holiday block
pattern plus a cute embellishment charm
.

Yes, each store will give passport holders a free pattern,
which makes a
15-inch mini wall hanging. The Quilting
Season has an October or Halloween block. You can choose
whether it's just a fall scene, or add the face so that your
pumpkin is a jack o' lantern.

At each store, there will be co-ordinating fabric kits to
complete your seasonal blocks. You can choose individual
small wall hangings, or combine them all into one big quilt.

All participants will have a chance to
win a $2.50, $5 or
$10 coupon to use at one of the eight stores.

Oh, and did I mention that all of this is a lot of fun, with
yummy snacks, c
ool prizes, lots of great quilting & sewing
ideas, and of course lots of beautiful
FABRIC!

The holiday hop is on November 11th and 12th, 2011.

The theme of this year's holiday hop is "Celebrate!"
Why visit all eight quilt shops?

Besides being able to collect all eight of the free block
patterns, there are other
enticements to make the journey
worth your while.

Bring eight cans of food to donate. These will provide holiday
meals for local families. Drop off one can at each store to
receive
three free red fabric strips. Collect three red strips
at each store, for a total of 24. Combined with some neutral
fabric
strips, they'll become the Peppermint Twist Quilt.

If you visit all eight stores, you'll receive
two free patterns:
* Peppermint Twist Quilt
* "Celebrate!"
background quilt to display your finished blocks

All finishers are eligible
for a chance to win a $50 gift
voucher
, to use at any of the participating shops.
